Quality Policy

It is the policy of Ulster Industrial Explosives to focus the business on the needs of the customer such that we supply products and services that consistently meet the customers requirements and expectations.

To achieve this, the company shall maintain and continually improve upon the quality management system which shall be based on the requirements specified within ISO 9001:2008. The quality management system shall be independently assessed by the British Standards Institution and the continued achievement of this shall be communicated to the customer by the inclusion of the BSI logo on Ulster Industrial Explosives letterheads and promotional literature.

It is absolutely essential, if the desired standard of quality is to be achieved that everyone within the Company is aware of the system and how they in their role contributes to the quality of the company’s product and services. Personnel shall be trained to a level where they understand the implications of their actions.

Occupational Health & Safety Policy

Ulster Industrial Explosive recognises and accepts its responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work (N.I.) Order 1978. The management of occupational health and safety is recognised as being a crucial element in the success of our business. The company is continually assessed against the Occupational Health and Safety Management Standard OHSAS 18001. Internal audits are constantly carried out across all of our activities to ensure that our operations continue to be safe. For us, the option of ignoring safety at any time does not exist. It is incorporated in to everything that we do and is a fundamental cultural value that is reinforced constantly and consistently

The company shall strive to continually improve our occupational health and safety performance by specifying realistic objectives and targets. Performance shall be monitored, corrective action implemented and results communicated. Adequate resources shall be made available to achieve our objectives and implement the company’s Occupational Health & Safety Policy.
