New requirements for N.I. Shotfiring Licences

To attain / renew a N. Ireland Shotfiring Licence, as of 1 January 2009, applicants must either have to be in the process of demonstrating competence, or possess the competence by way of an indepentantly assessed approved scheme.
UIE's Engineers current meet the new Shotfiring Licence requirements being either Chartered or Incorporated Engineers, or possess the appropriate modules in the NVQ Level 3 in Blasting Operations.
