Hotshot electronic detonators
26 June 2008
UIE introduces the benefits of highly accurate electronic detonators that can improve fragmentation, reduce vibration and enable access to previously inaccessible reserves.
Hotshot is the world's first auto-programmable electronic initiation system designed to optimize your blasting results. Hotshot is user friendly, simple to understand, easy to deploy, flexible in a wide range of blast configurations and offers the accuracy of an electronic detonator.
The Hotshot system is an important advance in technology, enabling users to achieve the accurate timing benefits of electronic initiation systems with the easy connections of current non-electric shock tube systems.
Some of the major features that make the Hotshot system unique from other electronic initiation systemsare;
Daisy Chaining describes the porcess by which the digital signal received by one detonator is actioned and then communicated to the next detonator. There is no longer any need to program each detonator individually using the control equipment.
Auto detection automatically locates individual detonators and provides a visualization of the entire blast layout using the hand-held Tagger. Auto detection determined the number and location of rows and detonators per row which reduces the time and effort required on the blast.
Auto Programmability assigns delays prior to blasting using a simple, user friendly menu. The assigned delays are then automatically fed to the detonators, using daisy chaining, prior to blasting.
Blast Pattern Hookup Visualization illustrates the blast pattern in a grahic image which includes the programmed delay times and the borehole configuration. This ensures the Tagger-generated blast design is identical to the one created by the Shotfirer.
